The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Matters prosecuted by the DPP and the OPP involve serious crimes or matters that are of significance to the fair and effective operation of the Victorian criminal justice system.
The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a staff of approximately 475 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.
Project Administrator and Court Dog Handler Full Time, Fixed Term – 12 Months.
The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) has an opportunity for a highly motivated leader to join our organisation as a Project Administrator and Court Dog Handler within our Victims and Witness Assistance Services Team.
About the Social Worker Role: Provide support to Victims and Witness Assistance Services Team on a day-to-day basis to meet the operational requirements of the Office and key deliverables.
Support the OPP Court Dog Handling Program through handling duties.
Cooperate with solicitors and other stakeholders, to ensure victims and witnesses are well informed and prepared for court hearings and criminal justice processes.

Demonstrated ability to complete projects and initiatives within time constraints to support team and organisational priorities.
Ability to use initiative and work autonomously, with a high level of drive and commitment.
