As a result of our continued growth, with $1 billion work-in-hand and exciting project work across Engineering, Infrastructure and Building, Georgiou is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Engineering team to work on an upcoming Alliance project.

The successful candidate will join us to initially work on an exciting Perth based project.
What you're good at:Minimum 5 years' experience post tertiary qualification experienceProject Reporting in a Construction Environment, knowledge of Cost to Complete and Work In ProgressCommunications skills - verbal and writtenSound interpersonal and influence skillsAbility to work to deadlinesKnowledge of Australian Accounting Regulations and StandardsJob Costing Systems exposureProject Reporting experienceWhat to expect in this role:Assist and guide project managers and project delivery teams in the establishment of correct cost code structures, cost controls and reportingWork with the Project teams to ensure the accuracy of project forecasts and reportingEnsure internal controls and procedures are maintained and monitored with no fraudulent activities.Assist the projects managers as required for collating costs of variation works, submission of the claims for the works, and raising tax invoices following claim certification.Work with the Project Managers to ensure Project securities (Bank Guarantees, Insurance Bonds, cash retentions) and Debtors are collected and returned in accordance with due datesCompletion of credit applications and account set-upsBe a point of contact for the projects and office staff for queries or issues relating to financial systems, processes and reporting.Perform the accounting tasks for the Alliance including recharging partner costs, journals, cash flow management, financial reporting and tax compliance (BAS)What Georgiou is good at?For more than 40 years, Georgiou has grown to be a leading national building and civil engineering company and we pride ourselves on being 'the best people to work with'.
