As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing periodic reports and analysis by managing relevant financial accounting, treasury reporting and taxation returns to reflect the performance for Eastern state projects.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will work closely with members of the Development team and various stakeholders to support relevant financial and compliance matters.
This role will initially begin as a 12-month maximum-term contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for performing financial control of an assigned project portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to prepare various budgets, forecasts, and reports.Project month end including posting journal, coding of expenditures, variance analysis, commentaries, and balance sheet reconciliations.Providing support for all banking requirements, payments, and covenants reporting obligations.Preparation of various financial and taxation documents, half-yearly and annual work papers for respective disclosing and non-disclosing entities.About You The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant supported by relevant qualifications in Commerce, Corporate Accounting, Financial Accounting or equivalent related discipline.
While knowledge of property development would be highly regarded, it is not essential.
To succeed in the role, you will have strong business acumen with the ability to demonstrate your analytical skills through attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
In addition to being able to work autonomously, you will also demonstrate effective communication with the ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships.
