Ventro and Firntec are sister companies focused on fire-safety installation, maintenance and surveying services.
Due to rapid growth (organic and through acquisition), we are seeking a technically strong Project Accountant as part of our finance team based in Plymouth.
Reporting to the CFO, the postholder will support various project areas, particularly the financial aspects of acquiring and integrating new businesses.
This is a hands-on role as part of a dynamic, growing and friendly team which is likely to evolve over time.
Corporate finance experience, whilst advantageous, is not a pre-requisite as full training will be provided.
The role would suit a newly qualified accountant keen to broaden their skill-set.
Key Duties:Working with the CFO and Financial Controller in delivering professional financial board reports, which includes downloading information from the Netsuite accounting system and presenting it clearly for analysis in a Powerpoint format, highlighting key trends and salient points.Supporting on financial aspects of the acquisition process including:Desktop financial evaluation of targets and valuationSupporting the CFO with preparation of business cases and investment papersAssisting the CFO with capital raise activitiesDetailed due diligence of targetsSetting up acquired companies on Netsuite and producing management accountsWorking to integrate financial recordsSupporting the CFO with short term and long term cash flow forecasting and treasury managementSupporting the CFO with maintenance of the group's long term financial modelKey role in preparation of annual budgetSupporting the Financial Controller with completing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations (as required depending on level of project activity).Liaising with year-end accountants/auditors and completing requestsProviding support as required across the finance function in a growing businessKey Attributes:Experienced AAT or CCAB qualified accountantSelf-starter & great team playerGood communication skillsExperience of using accounting softwareMicrosoft Office and Excel skillsVentro Ltd values diversity and promotes equality.
