The Programs Coordinator works as part of the Learning Team within the Artistic Programs Portfolio. The Learning Team delivers programs, events and resources across multiple audience areas, including adult programs, kids and families, young people, students and teachers, access audiences and outreach activities. We deliver programs onsite, online and across Australia to engage national audiences of life-long learners with the National Gallery's artistic program.
The Programs Coordinator provides administrative, operational and technical support for the planning, promotion, delivery and evaluation of Learning programs, projects and events across all audience areas. The role supports a broad range of programs and experiences, including artist talks, workshops, performances, lectures, tours, conferences, film screenings, exhibition openings, digital excursions, livestreams and festival style events.
The Programs Coordinator will develop and maintain the relevant technical expertise to administer the operational services required to resource key functions across the Learning Team. This includes venue and audio-visual support, ticketing, bookings, scheduling, CRM and web CMS responsibilities across a number of operating platforms. The Programs Coordinator will work closely with the Operations Coordinator to contribute to business improvement practices.
The Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating communication with audiences through EDM communication in relation to bookings and events, and through oversight of Learning Team email enquiries.
The Programs Coordinator will support on-the-day delivery and production of programs and events, with responsibility for areas including artist/talent support, audience management, ticketing, technical production support, maintaining audio-visual equipment, and stakeholder liaison.
The position reports to the Operations Coordinator and works closely with the Public Programs Manager, Education Manager and Digital Learning Manager within the Learning Team. The role will also work closely with the CRM and Ticketing Manager within the Visitor Experience team.
This position is an ongoing full-time role within the Learning Department.
