The Smith Family is a national children's education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.Help young Australians to improve their long-term educational outcomesPermanent full-time position based in Darwin, NTFlexible working arrangements within a supportive and diverse teamAbout the roleWe are seeking a Programs Coordinator to work with schools and facilitators to deliver educational programs to students in primary schools and high schools in Darwin and Palmerston, NT. Reporting to the Regional Programs Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:Identify the needs of schools and community to determine program fit.Deliver and administer high-quality programs from the Learning for Life Suite in partner schools and the local community.Maintain program participation numbers to agreed targets. This includes an increased engagement of Learning for Life scholarship students in programs.Ensure that data is accurately entered into the database in a timely manner.Participate in relevant program and process improvement teams, as required.About youAs well as passion for community, you will bring the following:Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience in planning and coordinating programs/projects/eventsDemonstrated experience in administrationHigh level interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated experience in presenting and facilitatingHold a current driver's licence and have or be willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's CheckEmployees are at the centre of The Smith Family's values and operations.
