Your role within our dedicated Family Connect and Support program will allow you to:
Utilise your strong engagement skills to be a first point of contact for families and community entering the Family Connect and Support ProgramProvide high quality, strengths based and person-centred intake, assessment, and interventions, with a focus on child safetyBe innovative and solution focused in your approach to supporting familiesWork within a highly skilled, supportive, and motivated team.Job DescriptionFamily Connect and Support currently has a vacancy for a Program Worker based out of our Lismore office.
This position is 4 days a week, and currently funded until 30 June 2025 (ongoing subject to funding).
Family Connect and Support is an early intervention service providing timely information and advice, appropriate warm referrals and practical assistance to children, young people and families.
The ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the service, build positive connections and work collaboratively with key stakeholders are essential to the position.
The role will include completing intake and/or risk assessments, case coordination and linking families into support services while having a child safety lens about your work.
The successful candidate will have:
A deep understanding of the challenges that face families, children and young people, particularly those in marginalised groups.The ability to achieve positive outcomes for families within a fast-paced environment.Strong administration skills with a focus on data entry and case noting.Knowledge of local support services and referral pathways.Experience of working with a child safety lens.Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, education, psychology, social work, early childhood, social welfare or similar.At Social Futures, we believe in the value of your voice, and we are dedicated to making positive changes every day.
