Program Support Officer (Project Control), Transport and Main Roads
Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Toowoomba QLDIn the role of Program Support Officer (Project Control), you will utilise a broad range of computer software programs and information management systems and databases to provide high-level support services to project managers and/or team members which enhance the timely and effective delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies, and procedures.ResponsibilitiesWhere required, administer, maintain and ensure the delivery of a range of high-level support activities associated with delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP), including:Gather data from relevant sourcesInput data into relevant systemsConduct data analysis and interpretationProduce reports for various key stakeholdersApply robust quality practices and processes• Interpret and apply financial policies and procedures e.g., chart of accounts, financial delegation, accrual accounting.• Use a variety of generic and specialised software packages to prepare financial documentation e.g., journals, goods receipts, progress claim certificates.• Undertake project and contract reporting to ensure accurate tracking of overall financial positions and provide early warnings of deviations.• Upload and maintain infrastructure contract tenders in QBuild eTender portal.• Provide high-level non-technical support to project managers and team members, including establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers to provide timely information, generating documents and reports, and providing updates to various stakeholders (internal and external).• Provide financial and project system training, guidance, and support to project and contract managers.• Consult with internal and external stakeholders at various levels using professional written and verbal communication.• Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl.
