Program Support Officer, Market Development Facility (MDF)
Flexible work during school hours, up to 20 hours per week by negotiation

About MDF The Market Development Facility (MDF) is a multi-country initiative which promotes sustainable economic development, through higher incomes for women and men, in our partner countries across the Indo-Pacific. We support partners from business and government to identify and grow commercial opportunities that are profitable, scalable and deliver social and environmental value. We currently work in Fiji, Timor-Leste, Sri Lanka, Samoa, Vanuatu and Tonga. MDF is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) and co-funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) in Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. It is implemented by Palladium in partnership with Swisscontact.
About the Opportunity MDF is seeking a highly organised Program Support Officer to provide expert administrative support for a wide range of program related tasks, including travel management, workshop logistics, events coordination and occasional support with research projects when required. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the MDF leadership team, gaining exposure to this unique and pioneering international development program. This position will directly support the MDF Team Leader to:
Organise workshops, appointments and meetings to support program related activities including but not limited to investment panel reviews, program performance reviews, and external evaluator reviews.
Coordinate facility-wide events including planning and logistics for the annual senior leadership meeting.
Assist with the preparation and coordination of a range of project-related documents to manage the flow of information.
Prepare and organise documents, preparation of agendas, presentations, and reports for meetings and reviews.
Organise extensive travel arrangements, administration and expenses claims for MDF Team Leader and leadership team members as required.
Assist with ad hoc research and gathering information on economic and market trends and support analysis if required.
Provide operational and administrative support to the MDF Team Leader and wider leadership team as required.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, a master of multitasking, have exceptional communication skills and have a keen eye for detail. This position is suited to an intellectually curious candidate who is willing to learn and support ad hoc research and market intelligence when required.
