The Program Support Officer (Governance, Accreditation and Compliance) assists in the implementation and monitoring of risk and operational management activities, policies and processes ensuring effective risk management and compliance is embedded in routine project, management and governance practice through the Health Contact Centre (HCC).
Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary workforce to implement clinical governance priorities and strategies in line with the HCC Quality Management Framework.
Key competencies/suitability (role specific criteria and personal qualities) You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of quality improvement, risk management and complaints management, with experience in coordinating accreditation and compliance processes. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as an effective team member, negotiate, advise and work collaboratively with people to influence decisions and develop high level and objective written documents. Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative to anticipate and manage day to day requirements for ongoing management of the quality, risk and accreditation programs. Demonstrated, or ability to rapidly acquire, sound knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards, directives and policies relevant to HCC or similar organisations. Proven ability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent, small to medium sized projects, using a fit for purpose project management approach including well-developed ability to identify and analyse problems, research, formulate and implement appropriate courses of actions. Qualifications, registrations and other requirements Demonstrated experience coordinating projects in a complex health environment will be highly regarded. While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded. It may be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16): measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B, tuberculosis.
