This is our promise to the Victorian community and the reason we exist.Program Officer$130,042.00 per annum + superannuationFull Time, ongoing positionPurposeThe Program Officer supports the development and implementation of initiatives and projects within the hazardous industry of construction, including the development of supporting procedures and policy, and drives acceptance into the business and across construction stakeholder groups.This role is integral to the Construction program and supports the implementation and delivery of the program through the development, implementation and evaluation of projects that are designed to address complex problems in the construction industry consistent with the Health & Safety Strategic Framework.Key accountabilitiesProactively work with stakeholder groups to seek input, namely the Foundations for safety Victoria, at key developmental and implementation stages of projects that form part of the Construction program. Develop project objectives in collaboration with stakeholders to build shared ownership. Act as a facilitator when required. Design tailored tactics in planning and managing the technical elements of the project.Facilitate development of the Construction program logic. Following endorsement of the program logic, collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope specific projects. For each project, document the purpose, timelines, activities to be delivered, accountabilities and key milestones prior to seeking approval of the Program Manager to progress to the next stage.Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to obtain data to scope projects and inform decision making. Data for this analysis may include technical information, existing sources such as environment scans, Industry Discussion Papers and harm and risk profiles or new sources of data to interrogate. Analyse the data obtained (both quantitative and qualitative) to support sizing and costing of new initiatives and past project timelines, efficiencies, successes and outcomes to ensure learnings from previous projects are captured.To monitor and coordinate plan implementation and undertake work identified in program and/or project plans and/or coordinate with other business partners, implementation or service delivery areas. Report on progress against the program and/or project plan. Build in review points to determine if the program and/or project is on track or requires adjustment.Proactively use the results of research and analysis and your knowledge of the organisation to develop recommendations utilising the most appropriate regulatory levers and tools to achieve the outcomes required to drive the Construction program and ultimately the Health & Safety Strategic Framework.
