The Program Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of important programs and projects to drive climate action and build Victoria's circular economy. The Program Officer will work within a team to deliver programs and undertake consultation across government and with stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
The successful candidate will:
Support Circular Economy household waste and recycling grant programs by delivering associated project activities including administrative and governance practices, processes, actions, risk management and reporting contributing to the successful delivery of program outcomes.Maintain positive and productive relationships with key local council waste management stakeholders to support contract reporting and successful program delivery.Think critically and use analytical skills to interpret a range of data and information from stakeholders, review and understand program performance and outcomes within a monitoring, evaluation and learning framework, and support program enhancements and changes as identified.Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Demonstrated skills and experience in program/project administration and stakeholder engagement activities is desirable.An understanding of Victorian government procurement policies, processes and procedures is desirable.An understanding of waste and recycling or local government waste management issues is desirable.A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
