The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director, School Approvals and Payments, the Program Officer is responsible for working in a team collecting school funding data and calculating funding entitlements under the Australian Education Act 2013.
The role involves working with a team to provide administrative support and operational tasks. This includes supporting the annual non-government school census and responding to telephone and email queries from stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the APS4 Program Officer may include:

Engaging with stakeholders to manage a variety of issues associated with school approvals and school funding Monitoring team mailboxes and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders Answering and responding to telephone queries from external stakeholders Contributing to and implementing business improvements by reviewing, updating and creating standard operating procedures and guidelines Monitoring and maintaining data on department systems to ensure compliance of approved authorities for schools in accordance with legislative frameworks Supporting schools in submitting student and staff data for the non-government school census collection Analysis of non-government schools census collection to ensure accuracy of data APS Level 4 Canberra, ACT | Melbourne, VIC $79,036 - $84,525 About the Department of Education

Eligibility
Citizenship - to be eligible for employment with the Department, you must be an Australian Citizen or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining it.
