About the role Sydney Water is looking for a Program Manager to oversee and actively participate in the management of programs that will drive the transformation of the digital operating model, processes, and underlying technology platforms.
This role will be part of an exciting Developer Transformation project undertaking for 18-months.
To enable us to deliver this program, we are looking for candidates with a background and/or experience in delivering high impact business transformation and change in Utilities where the current model has several commercial impacts as part of transitioning to target state.
What you'll be doing: Lead a cross-functional team including project managers, delivering multiple streams of activity in this program reporting into a program board made up of several Sydney Water Executive General Managers.
Drive and ensure that all key stakeholders, identified via program governance and stakeholder engagement planning are clear on approach, plan, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and progress of the program during its entire lifecycle.
Lead the conversion and translation of solution design into tactical execution plans with appropriate staging that aligns with the wider portfolio of work.
Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and meets business needs within the scope of the business case, ensuring Sydney Water customers and our people enjoy a positive uplift in user experience and performance outcomes.
Manage the time, cost, quality, and benefits outcomes of the programs ensuring that mixed model resourcing is allocated and right sized to deliver a successful initiative.
About you Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of application.
Certification in project or program management (Agile, Prince 2, Pm P, Pg MP, Managing Successful Programs, Prosci).
Demonstrated program and project management skills.
Ability to positively influence and work collaboratively externally to and internally within Sydney Water to achieve improved business outcomes.
Self-starter, proactive – can deal with transformation ambiguity and knows how to create certainty, clear out 'noise' through prioritisation.
