About the role As a Program Manager within the NSW Transport Technology Portfolio Program Delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned development, lifecycle, and operational readiness projects are delivered according to the objectives, timeline, and budget agreed upon with Business Representatives, the Project Sponsor, and the Project Steering Committee, all within Transurban's Project Governance Framework. You will oversee and deliver the agreed scope of projects, managing key stakeholder relationships, and providing comprehensive project/program level reporting and governance. Whilst managing project financials with budgets up to $25 million, you will identify and manage project risks and benefits, develop robust business cases with sound delivery estimates, coordinate and deliver readiness activities to support seamless transitions into operations, and implement operating and support models in consultation with the Transport Technology Leadership team. This hands-on role requires a proven track record in developing and delivering large, multiyear programs. You will support new and expanded platforms, develop operating models, and be familiar with various delivery models. Success in this role demands the ability to partner with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders across geographic boundaries to deliver strategic solutions. Day-to-day, you will: Plan, deliver, and manage financials for programs and related streams.Lead scope changes and ensure governance requirements are met.Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.Maintain project schedules and report on financials.Estimate and control project costs.Oversee project deliverables and ensure quality.Ensure effective service transition with ITS Operations.Mentor and coach team members.Contribute to employee engagement and manage staff safety.Develop and communicate the Project Roadmap and Plan.Plan project activities and develop work estimates.Prepare project reports and presentations. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Depth of experience in program management roles, with a focus on delivery.Experience with ITS Roadside systems or related project engineering teams is highly advantageous.Proven track record in developing and delivering complex strategic initiatives.Experience working with third-party suppliers and vendors to deliver outcomes.Pragmatic, outcomes-driven attitude.Strong initiative and resilience to maintain drive in a rapidly evolving environment.Outstanding interpersonal, oral, aural, and written communication skills.Ability to travel as required to deliver on program objectives and outcomes.Experience and understanding of program, project, and business financial management principles (OPEX, CAPEX, forecasting, estimating, cost-benefit analysis, etc.).Robust analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
