Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight)for two (2) y ears.
Duties Provision of high-level contemporary project management support and delivery and/or coordination of a range of projects across Northern Tasmania. Identify and progress opportunities for further investment in Northern and North-Western Tasmania via Australian Government funding programs. Assist the Executive Director, Northern Cities to enhance the commitments and activities currently identified within the Launceston City Deal. Liaise and work across State Government agencies to ensure that all agreed State Government commitments within the Launceston City Deal are successfully completed. Liaise with Federal and Local Government partners, industry and key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the Launceston City Deal and identify further opportunities for collaboration and program alignment with other funding opportunities. Liaise with Local Government, community and industry partners to expand and embed the outcomes of the existing smart cities projects and seek and secure investment to initiate new smart cities and digital technology projects across Northern Tasmania. Prepare high-level correspondence, reports, submissions, Ministerial briefing material, presentations, papers, speeches and media releases and review key policy documents as directed. Coordinate, develop and support stakeholder groups and initiatives and represent the Office at meetings, workshops or on working groups to achieve identified outcomes.
