About the role Next Step Plus (NSP) provides support to complex caseloads of young people who are transitioning or have transitioned from care. Case Managers assist young people to meet their goals around transitioning to adulthood including finding housing, securing employment, purchasing household items, parenting, completing education, addressing legal issues and dealing with domestic violence.
LWB is the largest provider of the Next Step Plus (NSP) and Extended Post Care Support (EPCS) programs in Queensland.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Child, Youth & Family - Family Based Care, Program Manager to join our Southwest team, with the option to work out of our Ipswich or Toowoomba branch. The Program Manager will manage the Next Step Plus (NSP) and Extended Post Care Support (EPCS) programs in the Southwest region (Ipswich, Toowoomba and Springfield) with focus on compliance, quality service provision, development of staff, and growing our services.

This position is being offered as a permanent full-timeposition withflexibility to work from home, and office, with the expectation to travel to different homes/locations within the Ipswich and Toowoomba regions.
Key Responsibilities Develop, lead, motivate and manage a team of up to 10 Case ManagersManage program compliance with legislation, accreditation standards, contractual requirements and internal policiesEnsure delivery of program services in accordance with program budget, local business plans and in line with client needsEnsure the appropriate management and escalation of risks in accordance with policies and proceduresEnsure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for program in accordance with regulationsSkills and Experience Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective that are part of the out of home care sectorDemonstrated experience of working in a leadership/management role in a human services organisationDemonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standardsDemonstrated commitment to the care and protection of children and young peopleDemonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high-volume work environmentA degree qualification in Human Services or similarSignificant experience in the child protection and out of home care sectorStrong coordination, leadership and peer support skillsHighly developed critical thinking and reflective practice skillsHigh level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skillsCurrent Drivers LicenceSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
