Part time (0.6FTE) fixed term for 3 yearsExciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to make a difference and contribute to research on Genomics and Precision HealthBase Salary $121,508+ 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager for a new exciting program of work to evaluate the potential of multicancer early detection (MCED) tests, an innovative area of patient-friendly, non-invasive tests to detect cancers.
Funded by a $3m Medical Research Future Fund Grant, this work program is a collaboration of researchers, health professionals, and consumers.The Project Manager will work closely with the program lead (Associate Professor Julia Steinberg) to coordinate the implementation and delivery of a broad range of activities and tasks, in order to meet the program milestones and deliverables.
They will be based in the Genomics and Precision Health research stream at the Daffodil Centre, a world-leading research center on cancer control and policy.In this role, you will oversee all aspects of project management, from initial planning to execution and completion.
Your expertise in managing complex projects, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes will be pivotal in advancing this important research initiative.Your key responsibilities will be to:develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and milestonesoversee project financials, including budgeting, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectivenessestablish project governance frameworks, identify risks, and ensure data integritycollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progressioncoordinate and provide expert advice on evidence reviews to meet project goalspromote the project through effective communication strategies, training, and stakeholder engagementsupport grant development and funding strategies for future initiatives.About youhold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent training and experienceextensive experience in project management and leading large, complex initiatives in multidisciplinary teamsstrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for diverse audiencesexpertise in budget management and financial planningadvanced computer skills and numeracy for budget tracking, reporting, and financial managementdemonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing demands effectivelyexperience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders, including researchers, health professionals, and consumersproficiency in consolidating research evidence, including preparation of presentations and reports, diagrams and visualisationsSponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
