We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the development of a Remote Housing Strategy to support better outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Murdi Paaki Region.
Join the AHO Remote Housing Strategy team and enjoy working within a small team who are committed to delivering impactful change and meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Murdi Paaki region. Your program management skills will support the delivery of a remote housing strategy to achieve housing and related outcomes for local communities.
Your role As the Program Manager you will lead the team and manage contracts and relationships with community stakeholders providing strategic program management services to drive reform and directly contribute to better outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities in the Murdi Paaki region.
What you'll do Lead a team responsible for designing, developing, managing, and reporting on strategic programs, including implementing or overseeing coordination of program implementation to meet client service delivery needs, ensuring the use of project management methodologies and processes to deliver consistent high-quality outcomes.Engage and consult with Aboriginal and Government stakeholders to identify emerging issues and initiate and enable the development of programs which align with service delivery needs and achieve desired outcomes.Apply an expert understanding of internal policies, regulations, and contract management to ensure compliance, good practice, and delivery of outcomes.Provide proactive and evidence-based expert advice and reports to the business unit leader, Director, and/or the Chief Executive to ensure the business impacts are considered.Seek out and actively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships based on open and regular discussion and feedback to ensure effective interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation.Lead and drive team management, work planning, coaching and professional development initiatives to align resources and deliver priorities.Build commitment and engage with diverse stakeholders in Aboriginal communities and Government to ensure reform programs and initiatives include widespread consultation and encourage a cooperative approach.Drive and implement a program design focus that ensures culture and co-design remain at the centre of our work.Lead the development of a remote housing strategy and develop business cases for investment to implement the strategy.Be flexible, and adaptive to changing needs, and represent the requirements of diverse client groups.What we're looking for Our desired candidate will be experienced in:
Knowledge of OCHRE and Local Decision Making in NSWDemonstrated experience developing, reviewing, and writing policies in the areas of housing and/or human services.Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communitiesExcellent writing skills, including policy writing, preparing government briefs and business cases with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences effectively.Valid NSW Driver's License; travel throughout far west NSW will be required.Communicating, consulting, and liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders and demonstrated experience in project/program management and policy development.Demonstrated high level organisational, contract and time management skills, with proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results.What We Offer We offer a variety of benefits, including:
