The Opportunity In a groundbreaking Australian first, influential Indigenous leaders in the land and sea management sector have formed a nation-wide partnership to collectively drive and elevate Indigenous-led innovation in the emerging biodiversity marketplace. There is an exclusive opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to support Indigenous leadership in this historic partnership and be part of a crucial collective voice to influence and advocate for Indigenous interests in the early stages of the biodiversity market development and maximise benefits for Indigenous people across the nation. The partnership will develop novel strategies that will see the country's biodiversity flourish, Indigenous Australians prosper, and all communities unite.
We are seeking a Program Manager with extensive knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities gained through on ground experience; practical experience and theoretical knowledge in Indigenous land and sea management, environmental science, and/or natural resource management sector; and a proven track record in providing adaptive leadership, managing stakeholder relationships, and effective project and contract management.
