From 1 January 2025, we'll be integrating and developing a range of services, including foster care, kinship care, family preservation and after care.
We are seeking expressions of interest for this unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of our ACT inception!
Reporting to the Territory Director, the Program Manager will work in partnership with the department (including placement coordination), lead sector partnerships and engagement and work collaboratively within KAA - playing a key role in promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. The role will oversee programs across the ACT, providing leadership across our frontline services.
Other key responsibilities include:
Take responsibility for the territory-wide operations of the Fostering, Kinship Care, After Care and Sustaining Families ProgramProvide quality practice leadership, expert case practice advice and decision-making on escalated high-risk casesMonitor compliance with Funding Agreements and ensure all state-wide and regional funding requirements, KPIs, and placement targets are met.The salary for this position is $128,294 - $133,648/annum (inc. super) + salary packaging options. This position is full-time, ongoing.
About you To be successful in this role, you'll come with:
Recognised Social Work Qualification (Psychology, Counselling, Behavioural Science, or other relevant degree)At least 5 years' experience as a qualified practitioner in a children and family settingExperience in child protection, including working in people's homes or in outreach settingsMinimum 3 years' experience managing staff, including all aspects of staff supervision and management dutiesComprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children's services, including child safeguardingMy Key Assets The health and wellbeing of our people is at the core of our employee and client experience.
