The Program Manager role is perfect for someone who has a good history of leading big digital change projects worth over $100 million. They should be able to handle lots of teams at once. They need to be really good at spotting risks, problems, and connections between different parts of the project, and making sure the project's goals are achieved. They should be great at talking and writing. Their job is to lead other program managers, control how the program works, and make sure it sticks to the budget and rules to achieve its goals.


The Program Manager is a hands-on delivery focused role that co-ordinates all the program delivery streams across the Client's program. The role will be responsible for leading the four streams delivering multiple digital and data products, business engagement and operational change management and ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and to plan.


This a complex and fast-moving environment that is committed to achieving significant benefits for departmental and industry stakeholders. This role requires a seasoned and highly experienced Program Manager with a strong track record in delivering $100m+ digital transformation programs, to support the Client's Program Director as follows:


Key responsibilities: Ensuring the strategic alignment of products with the Client's program roadmap with the vision and business goals. Lead and direct the teams in their delivery, business engagement and operational change management to ensure the overarching program plan is fit for purpose and delivery timeframes are locked in and met. Ensuring workable plans and controls are in place and actively used to deliver and monitor the program. Leading the stream program managers, managing program processes and budgets in alignment with strong governance protocols to ensure program objectives are met. Overseeing program risks, issues, dependency, and benefits management at the whole of program level. Advising and reporting to executive leadership on all aspects of the program. Skills & Experience: Strong track record in large scale ($100m+) digital program execution and delivery into service across either the private or public sector, or both. Proven ability as a Program Manager to plan and phase the delivery of a complex program of work with multiple stakeholders using agile techniques. Proven ability to manage multiple teams delivering multiple concurrent projects, making changes to existing systems and building new capabilities Strong interpersonal skills with extensive experience with unifying the views of senior executives, external industry stakeholders and departmental staff people on development of products that will deliver the Client's vision and goals. Proven track record of working with large number of Product Managers, Project Managers and Delivery Leads to ensure milestones are met on time and to plan. Extensive experience overseeing program risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits management at the whole of program level. Working with complex digital and data programs of work, with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Gravitas and presence with the ability to influence with and without authority. Proven ability to manage multiple teams delivering multiple concurrent projects, making changes to existing systems and building new capabilities Strong interpersonal skills with extensive experience with unifying the views of senior executives, external industry stakeholders and departmental staff people on development of products that will deliver the STEPS vision and goals.
