Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Join us to help drive our vibrant Homelessness Service in Brisbane! You'll be at the forefront of mobile outreach and place-based support for youth at or transitioning from the Mater Youth Adult Health Centre.
This dynamic role involves building and nurturing strong relationships within the homelessness, housing, and youth sectors both in Brisbane and beyond. You'll ensure that young people have access to the right housing opportunities and will be key in tracking and reporting on these outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be to: Lead and inspire high-quality program delivery to clients Lead a service that can respond using best practice approaches to a range of client needs Undertake recruitment and selection of staff in line with MA policy and procedures Manage the program budget, complying with authorised expenditure Provide comprehensive, timely and accurate reports on the program as required by the organisation and any contractual requirements Ensure policies and procedures are developed and followed as required Lead continual improvement processes with the team(s) that enhance program delivery Sustain productive relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve organizational goals Requirements for Success A degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or another relevant field. Experience in leading and managing a team to deliver service outcomes in compliance with contracted and funding requirements. Experience in budget and financial management. Knowledge and understanding of relevant Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence legislation pertaining to the safety and wellbeing of children and families Professional understanding of the issues and needs facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families including Intergenerational Trauma Demonstrated ability to form collaborative partnerships and connections with other professionals and organisations Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
