Program Manager - Environmental And Sustainability

Position Details:  Public Sector People have partnered with our local government client to assist in the recruitment for an experienced Program Manager.
The successful candidate will have significant experience across Environmental and Sustainability Programs with the ability to communicate across all levels of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:  Senior manager to lead and manage the Sustainability Programs Unit (approx 10 staff with 3 direct reports) to deliver work against the Environmental Strategy and Sustainable project focus 203- - 2050.
Lead team to deliver programs, partnerships, advocacy and grants and collaborates with community, government, and industry to meet our environmental targets, in particular net zero by 2025.
Strong people leader who can oversee partnership transitions, stakeholder management, business planning, reporting, and procurement.
Represent the city at a senior level in various meetings, events, forums to further advocacy goals.
Projects to be managed will focus on Residential, Environmental, Sustainability, Public Domain and Built Environment.
Key Challenges:  Managing key relationships with large and diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Managing, negotiating and influencing outcomes with diverse and complex stakeholders, given the need to balance competing expectations, interests and demands.
Providing timely expert advice related to environmental outcomes to the Director, Executives and Councillors in making informed decisions on arrange of issues.
