7+12+12 month contract - Backfill $169.50 per hour (inc-Super) - Fixed NV1 Security Clearance required Canberra address - Belconnen Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, border control, immigration and multicultural affairs, are seeking the experience of a Program Manager for a long 7 + 12 + 12 month contract, based in Belconnen, ACT.
Duties of the Program Manager Managing and leading the Technology & Enabling Program and other approved projects. Liaising with ICT operational, relevant business areas and other project areas for the controlled progression of projects through Departmental environments, including detailed planning and management of the major release deployment including over weekends where appropriate. Undertaking high-level stakeholder consultations including cross agency clients/customers. Managing Program budgets and preparing Program financial forecasts. Managing Program schedules. Providing strategic guidance, leadership to team members including developing, coaching and mentoring junior or less experienced staff to ensure appropriate skills transfer. Skills and Experience Required Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex ICT infrastructure programs and/or projects. Proven ability to work within a structured ICT and project management governance framework and deliver results that adhere to relevant Commonwealth standards and policies. High level of management skills including the ability to lead, plan and deliver to a high standard, on budget and within tight timeframes. Ability to adopt and adapt project management methods and tools, ensuring effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes are employed and maintained. Demonstrated experience in monitoring and controlling resources, revenue and (capital and/or operating) expenditures against the project budget. 3+ years' experience in delivery of ICT infrastructure projects across one or more: Active Directory, Windows/Unix Server, VMWare ESX Server, Hyper Converged Infrastructure environments and VM Cloud Databases - SQL & Oracle, Network (LAN WAN and Gateway), Cloud (Azure & AWS) (desired). Demonstrated understanding of the Essential 8 and PSPF (desired). Experience with the establishment or reconfiguration of core ICT infrastructure under capital work, including office buildings, airports, sea ports, remote locations (desired).
