We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.  An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experiencedProgram Manager - Capital Works to join our Asset Management team. You will lead the planning and delivery of programs of work to meet the long-term reliability and availability requirements for the business. Your ability to naturally influence will see you leading a team of project managers to ensure the programs are delivered successfully. This is a full time position based in the Cooma/Canberra area ideally however a flexible work location arrangement may be possible for the right candidate. Reporting to the Manager Engineering & Capital Projects, your key responsibilities will include: Successfully leading a team of Project Managers to plan and deliver programs/projects whilst providing support, guidance and governance  Developing and maintaining comprehensive program and project management plans with an execution strategy, budget and schedule, through to finalisation Maintaining a strong focus on risk management including safety, environment and quality throughout the program/project delivery lifecycle  Ensure project success through risk control and assurance activities  Delivering accurate and timely reporting against the established project management plans Actively engage with the strategic planning process and work with clients to understand changing priorities and provide support when required Building strong relationships with stakeholder groups to ensure business context is understood and program/project plans are tailored to suit needs In addition to the above, our ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate: Minimum of 5 years experience in project management within a similar industry, on large scale, complex, high risk, varying and/or multiple projects Degree qualifications in Engineering Demonstrated program/project management skills with the ability to execute tasks from inception to completion Ability to negotiate with, manage and supervise external contractors and consultants Demonstrated leadership skills with s high level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, both at site and remotely from site Ability to read and understand work scopes, technical specifications and drawings, with a sound knowledge of WHS, Safety in Design, Environmental, Quality, and EEO policies, procedures and standards Demonstrate strong values in how you behave and interact with others and an alignment with Snowy Hydro's corporate values If this sounds of interest to you, we encourage you to apply now!
