About the role: The Program Manager, Antimicrobial Resistance, Genomics and Laboratories plays a critical role in the relationship and program management of several funded agencies to ensure the successful delivery of services to maximise health benefits for all Victorians. This includes leadership and oversight in the creation, administration and reporting against service level agreements and financial acquittals, as well as managing any risk and audit requirements associated with a funded program.
How you'll make a difference: Able to oversee and lead program management for and engagement with funded programs, including the development of Service Level Agreements and commissioning activity.Experienced in managing budgets, finance and procurement matters. This involves monitoring budgets, leading procurement activities, and delivery of strategic financial management advice that drives financial sustainability.A collaborative, enthusiastic team player who will contribute to a high performing culture, deliver successful outcomes, develop capability within the team and be a leader within the branch.The Program Manager is responsible for driving service improvement and identifying strategic opportunities for the department and stakeholders to strengthen the management of communicable disease in Victoria. The role will involve developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and require strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: Stakeholder management skills: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships. Identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs. Uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved.
