Join us in shaping the future of aviation as we propel Melbourne Airport towards becoming Australia's favourite Airport destination.Key responsibilities:Develop and refine clear project briefs in collaboration with stakeholders before starting the design phase to ensure all requirements are met and redesign is minimised.Oversee the project design team to ensure compliance with APAM standards and maintain a strong focus on enhancing customer experience in all passenger-facing designs.Integrate innovative solutions, such as off-site manufacturing, to provide additional benefits and efficiencies where appropriate.Actively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and communication.Lead the creation of accurate project budgets and implement strategic procurement approaches that drive value while managing risks and commercial terms effectively.Maintain a proactive approach to cost control and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure a strong emphasis on safety with a goal of zero incidents, while guiding project teams to meet key milestones and deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule.The successful candidate will have:Tertiary qualified with experience in engineering, planning, development and delivery of projects in the Aviation/Built Environment, or related experience within this field.Previous Project Management/ Project Delivery Experience through all stages of the Project Lifecycle.End to end experience in leading built environment capital projects in a 24/7 complex operational environment.Experienced in leading multiple sub-programs or projects concurrently to meet agreed timelines.Experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams through the project lifecycle.Strong financial management and commercial acumen.Experience in construction procurement methodologies.Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to communicate at all levels internally and externally including clear and concise communication.Experience in anticipating problems and proactively mitigating potential issues.The ability to tailor communication methods and practices to the relevant stakeholder audience.Proven ability to influence third parties (internally and externally) in a high-pressure environment.We understand that not everyone will feel they meet all of these 100%.
