The role of the Middle Leader – Student Engagement: Immersion and Extension is to support the mission of the school through maximising opportunities for students beyond the classroom. This involves:
Gaining a strong understanding of community expectations
Utilising thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions
Strategically planning the coordination of staff, students and facilities
Developing, implementing and overseeing systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of activity planning
Developing appropriate partnerships within and outside of the school
Thoroughly administering available resources to support initiatives.
The Middle Leader – Student Engagement: Immersion and Extension will be seconded to the Senior Leadership Team. In this leadership position, you will foster constructive internal and external school relationships to positively support and enhance student opportunities beyond the classroom. Your work will involve feeding back to the school community (SLT and Staff). You will engage and organise the expertise of all members of the school community to ensure that ideas are shaped into focused coherent actions.
About the role -
As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:
Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
About you -
To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Program Leadership (Student Engagement - Immersion and Extension) as well as:
Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
Commitment to child safety
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
Proven organisational skills
Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

not
require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic. We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
