Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs, and the operation of precincts and venues. Queensland, the department will provide targeted and deliberate action and investment to enrich the Queensland way of life through physical activity, driving increased participation and pathway opportunities while positioning the state for success in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.Our team - Infrastructure and Precincts - Precincts and Venues. Our contribution: Precincts and Venues provide regionally significant venues that are fully accessible and inclusive to influence and inspire active experiences for Queenslanders. We offer a diverse range of tailored products and services that cater to individuals at every level of participation. We are committed to leading and supporting industry through exemplary venue management practices and partnerships.Our focus: Responsible for safe and professional service delivery and operations of the venues to ensure quality experiences. Precincts and Venues Support focus: Responsible for the delivery of key strategic projects, and performance monitoring and reporting across Precincts and Venues. Also, responsible for coordinating capital works program, business development and improvement, planning, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.To be eligible for employment in this role you must possess:Citizenship/Visa Requirements: You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. If you are not an Australian citizen, you will need to provide evidence of your residency status or visa, with your right to work (including any conditions/restrictions). You are required to notify the department if your right to work in Australia ceases.Licences: This role undertakes travel to city, regional, and remote locations and requires a current driver's licence. You will need to provide a copy of your driver's licence prior to engagement.Qualifications: You must hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate. You will need to provide a copy of your qualifications, with originals sighted prior to engagement. Formal qualifications in outdoor recreation are not mandatory for the role, however would be highly regarded. Qualifications from overseas institutions: Attach a certified copy of the official recognition when submitting your application.Working with Children Check (Blue Card): This role provides education, coaching, and/or support services to children and young people and requires a valid Blue Card with the department.
