Program Lead in Nursing

to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at Broadmeadows Campus

You will be working in ultra-modern facilities, equipped with simulated labs and specialist equipment to train the healthcare professionals. Our staff bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to educate and help our students grow.

About The Role:

As part of the Industry and Education leadership team, the primary responsibilities of this role are leading and managing the coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of vocational education and training programs and services, informed by industry and learner expectations.

This role will lead a team of Teachers and is responsible for all aspects of their performance against business targets and their development. The role will also undertake the scheduling and allocation of Teachers to courses and classes and teach as required. The Program Lead is accountable for monitoring student progress and results, in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent

Must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Registration with no conditions

Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher relevant nursing qualification

Experience and Knowledge

Relevant current industry experience

particularly in the areas of mental health, and primary health care

Current teaching experience

Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of course design, delivery and assessment, within the governance framework.

Highly skilled in educational leadership and management

Acknowledged excellence in academic leadership.

Ability to develop strategic direction.

Ability to derive significant educational and/or business focused solutions.

A strategic focus aimed at developing links within and external to the TAFE community.

A strategic focus on long-term staff projections and team developmental needs.

Proficient in IT management systems and MS Office suite.

Understanding of auditing regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated ability to deliver strong results against organizational goals for which the role is responsible.

Experience with effectively leading, engaging and developing teams to the attainment of organisational goals.

Highly developed relationship building and influencing skills.

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to communicate effectively across large groups and deal with personal matters sensitively.

Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through critical thinking and a high work ethic.

Current and valid Victorian driver's license and ability to travel between BKI sites and workplaces.
