Program Lead - Allied Health Primary Care EngagementLocation negotiable from Bendigo (Dja Dja Wurrung), Shepparton (Yorta Yorta), Mildura (Millewa-Mallee) or Albury (Wiradjuri)Salary – Grade 6 $109,944 per annum plus superannuationThe Organisation:At Murray PHN, five organisational values - Leadership, Collaboration, Respect, Accountability, and Innovation - drive the way we do business, influence the health system, and interact with each other and our stakeholders.As a not-for-profit organisation, one of six Primary Health Networks (PHNs) in Victoria and 31 across Australia, we work with rural and regional services and national agencies to support health reform, develop locally relevant models of care, workforce solutions, and pilot innovative programs.Whether it's supporting individuals with chronic conditions, enhancing mental health services, or reducing avoidable hospital stays, our focus is commissioning primary healthcare services that are accessible, high-quality, culturally responsive, sustainable, and meet population needs to prevent disease.The opportunity:Working in the Primary Health Care Development Team, this newly created position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies that facilitate allied health engagement with primary health care services across the Murray PHN catchment area, aligned to the National PHN Allied Health Engagement Framework.In collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, this position supports the development and implementation of multidisciplinary models of care across the catchment area and other priorities as they emerge, ensuring that Murray PHN achieves its coordination, commissioning, and capacity-building responsibilities.In this role, you will:Develop and maintain strong, productive partnerships with Allied Health providers and broader primary care stakeholders, including the establishment of professional networks.Identify primary care sector resources to improve coordination and build capacity with providers.Develop and maintain an easy-to-access register of all Allied Health Providers in the Murray PHN catchment area.Establish communication mechanisms with allied health providers and identify opportunities to strengthen engagement.Lead and support the development of new and innovative models of care in collaboration with allied health providers.Identify opportunities to align allied health activities with government policy and primary health care reform.Identify and support professional development opportunities, workforce development strategies, and other priorities for allied health engagement.About you:You have a tertiary level education in an allied health or related field and/or equivalent experience in a similar position.More than five years management experience in service development in the primary and community health sectors.A demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and explore opportunities for systems integration.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and produce reports, proposals, and presentations.Knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector and reforms is desirable.An unrestricted Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across the Murray PHN catchment area as needed to support the position objectives.How to apply:Please submit a resume and cover letter detailing your suitability for the role.Applications close: 2 February at 11.59pmAdditional benefits include:Flexible working arrangements, such as variable start and finish times and balanced work from home and office options.The opportunity to maximise take-home pay through generous salary packaging – up to $15,900 on everyday living expenses and $2,650 towards meal entertainment each year.Access to an employee assistance program with free counselling.Access to professional and personal development – 2 days study leave per year.Up to 15 personal leave days annually.Life leave – two days per year for you to take as you need.Cultural, ceremonial, and religious leave – paid and unpaid leave.Paid parental leave – up to nine weeks.Successful candidates will be required to provide two professional references and a recent criminal history check.
