Program Director - Teaching & Learning (Colac Campus) St Joseph's offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, make the choice to attend a specialised learning environment.
St Joseph's operates across multiple campuses, located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED.
The young people who attend have typically experienced one or more significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal or familial situations which demand unique responses.
Such interventions are embedded within the Operation By Principles framework, which combine education with an understanding of trauma-informed practice.
The Role: It is an exciting time to join St Joseph's as we are experiencing a period of substantial growth.
We are looking for a full-time Program Director – Teaching & Learning to join our team, based at the Colac campus.
You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing ASAP, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.
This position will attract a responsibility allowance for five years, until the end of the 2029 school year.
You will need: Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal, and Honesty.Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.3 years' experience in a similar role.Demonstrated leadership experience in staff support, development, and professional supervision in education within collaborative multidisciplinary team settings, including experience in facilitating reflective practice sessions for staff and critical incident debriefs.Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for young people in both middle and senior phases of secondary education.Demonstrated high levels of ability in developing and implementing a range of flexible learning choices that meet the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of young people disenfranchised from education.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply; we are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity.
