Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Program Delivery Officer - Traffic Management and Road Safety to join the team.
Based in Bellambi, the successful candidate will support the development and delivery of Road Safety and Traffic Management programs and projects aligned to time, cost, quality and scope requirements.
Role Title: Program Delivery Officer - Traffic Management & Road Safety
Contract Length: ASAP start, for a 6 Months role with a chance of extension
Daily Pay: $500 - $620 + Super per day.
Location: Bellambi, 2518.
Office/WFH hybrid.
Key Accountabilities: Interface between delivery agents and other client agents to ensure engagement and delivery of agreed Road Safety and Traffic Management programs and projects.Ensure that the nominated infrastructure programs and associated projects are developed and delivered to the required time, cost, scope and quality outcomes.
Provide input during the development phase by investigating utility and constructability issues, identify opportunities to minimise cost and time.Ensure organisational accountabilities are met for each nominated program and associated projects in terms of best practice in project management, WHS, community engagement and environment assessment and are in accordance with organisational policies and guidelines.Coordinate the development and delivery of nominated minor infrastructure programs and associated projects to ensure the scope and project outcomes provide value for money and fulfil the agreed road safety and traffic outcomes.Provide timely and accurate monthly updates, forecasts, performance reports and other reports to ensure the progress is monitored on the development and delivery of nominated projects in the regional traffic and road safety program.Ensure customer engagement and community consultation is undertaken in the development and delivery of nominated projects and that customer issues are responded to in a timely and considered way.Knowledge and Experience: Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage the development and construction of several related projects including the implementation of management strategies for community involvement, WH&S, environment and quality.Project management experience with the ability to facilitate a team of multi-disciplinary professional and technical staff.Communication skills, including the ability to influence people at all levels and foster and maintain collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organisation.Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated skills and experience in resolving problems and ensuring projects deliver the required outcomes.Experience with conflict resolution and negotiation, including technical issues managementDemonstrated experience in the use and application of computerised techniques for project and information management with the ability to produce status reports, including financial, project and program status reports.Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Wollongong area/ Southern Highlands/ Sutherland Shire and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
