Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.  The Role As Program Coordinator - Student Services, the successful applicant should work collaboratively with the leadership team and have a focus on the development of a safe and positive learning environment that will improve student outcomes. The successful applicant should possess the ability to develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and programs relevant to the Student Services area to support the school's whole school approach to improvement of attendance, engagement, and achievement.
You should display a sound understanding of the case management of educationally at-risk students that includes knowledge of effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies. There is an associated responsibility to establish and manage administrative and operational systems to ensure the effective operation of Student Services, to support school business plan targets and in accordance with Departmental policy and guidelines.
Using effective change strategies, the successful applicant will lead the school community to better understand the tiered and inter-connected interventions, so all students receive the appropriate levels of support, developing opportunities for improved service. In this key school leadership position, ideally the successful applicant will also display strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and have an ability to build strong school and community links with parents and external agencies and to work collaboratively at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School. They should be innovative and have a strong knowledge of the use of data to inform the delivery of successful wellbeing programs and case management strategies.
Our School Kalgoorlie-Boulder CHS was opened in 2006 and proudly offers secondary courses from Years 7 to 10. The school prides itself on an enrolment of over 900 students from a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, who all contribute to a vibrant and collaborative school culture.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings; High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes; Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs); Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
