This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025Are you a passionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding opportunity?Ngaanyatjarra Lands School is seeking to appoint a Program Coordinator - Student Services to support the safety, wellbeing, engagement and learning of students across our eight remote Aboriginal school campuses situated in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
This position will be based at our Warburton campus.As Program Coordinator - Student Services you will support staff and students to embed culturally responsive approaches to improve behaviour, engagement and personal wellbeing.
Our school champions student-centred, strength-based, trauma-informed practices to support the development of student self-efficacy and leadership.
Initiatives included within our school include Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), Instructional Strategies for Engagement (ISE), explicit teaching and trauma informed practices - embedded within a cross-cultural approach to teaching and learning.

The RoleThe successful applicant will coordinate the Wellbeing Team and work within the broader Ngaanyatjarra Lands School administrative and support team, strongly supporting and collaborating with the School Psychologist.
To be successful in this role you will ideally be able to show your capacity and experience with co-leading initiatives with Aboriginal students, educators, parents, carers and senior community members.
This position will require the successful applicant to operate in-line with the Ngaanyatjarra Lands School's purpose to promote leadership and agency of our Aboriginal students, staff and families.
You should model a culture of self-reflection and improvement, providing training, coaching and mentoring as you promote professional growth and leadership capabilities in others.
The Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework provides the lens through which our school planning and reflection is focussed, therefore the successful applicant will ideally possess a sound working knowledge of the framework and the concept of what it means to be a culturally responsive school.This position will be based in Warburton Community, however will require driving long distances on unsealed roads to the school's head office in Warakurna and other campuses.
Resilience, patience and professionalism are imperative qualities, with experience working and living in remote Aboriginal communities highly desirable.
Duties will include liaising with support services within Statewide Services, local community agencies and services outside of the Ngaanyatjarra Lands in order to contribute to wrap-around support for students.
