This is a 24 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025East Kimberley College is one of the largest K-12 schools in the State with approximately 1100 students enrolled.
With almost 52% of enrolments being indigenous, it also has the largest enrolment of Aboriginal students of any school in the State.

We foster individual student interests, encourage active participation in the learning process, and assist students to develop their ability to apply knowledge and skills to real life experiences and challenges.Find out more about our school by visiting or The RoleThe Program Coordinator – Phase of Schooling (POS) in collaboration with the principal and members of the leadership team, provide educational leadership in the school and community by promoting School Curriculum and Assessment, Kimberley Schools Project and Quality Teaching Strategies, with a specific focus on improving teacher quality through implementing the Department of Education's Teaching for Impact initiative.The Program coordinator positions include a 0.2-0.4 FTE instructional leadership role and up to 0.8FTE teaching.
The instructional leadership time is to lead Tier 1 and 2 curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting systems, data and practices; coordinate Tie2 academic interventions; and support quality teaching through coaching, collaborative curriculum planning and data cycles.
Experience in Explicit Instruction and coaching staff is highly desirable.

A willingness to assist in the design and delivery of Professional Learning is also desirable.Under the line manager of the Associate Principal and direction of the Executive Leadership Team, the Program Coordinator – Phases of Schooling (POS) functions include, but are not limited to: Teaching role that that includes intervention programs, release for year level coordinators, modelling and demonstration lessons, relief teaching and teaching as directed by line manager.Leading systematic curriculum planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation aligned to SCSA requirements.Implementing effective pedagogical practices through classroom observations and feedback, coaching, and professional learning.Differentiating teaching and learning through coordinating a multitiered systems approach.Collecting, analysing and using student assessment data through coordination of system and school wide assessments, moderation, and data informed improvement cycles.Building an expert teaching team through operational planning, coordinating collaborative team meetings, designing and implementing professional learning activities, coaching, classroom observations and feedback, mentoring new staff, leading teams, and engaging in region wide professional networks.

Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
