Our strategy is built around success for all students, high quality teachers, consistent classroom management across the school and providing the right conditions for learning to ensure we are a place where all children feel they belong.Find out more about our school by visiting or The RoleGibbs Street PS is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Program Coordinator – Learning Support to join our team.The Program Coordinator - Learning Support will work collaboratively with Gibbs Street staff to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment that provides additional support for individual students with learning difficulties.As the leader of learning support across the school, you will work in partnership with teachers and education assistants to ensure teaching and learning adjustments for students with learning difficulties are implemented across the curriculum to meet individual student needs.The successful applicant will ideally have: the ability to plan and manage individual student programs, teaching experience and skills to develop behaviour management strategies for students with a range of disabilities.a strong knowledge of the curriculum across all year levels, with the ability to support teachers to modify the curriculum to support students with learning difficulties.the ability to effectively direct and manage Education Assistants working as support in the classroom.the ability to liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of the students.the ability to provide support to staff with transitions and reporting.
