Full time, continuing positionExciting opportunity to work as part of the Student Affairs and Engagement teamBase Salary $99,455 - $107,216 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity The Program Coordinator – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is responsible for the design and delivery of targeted student life, student support and employability initiatives and programs informed by the student voice and tailored to address the identified needs of student diversity and equity cohorts.
This exciting opportunity is a newly created role within the Student Affairs and Engagement Team in alignment with Faculty and University Strategic Objectives.
As part of the role, the Coordinator will work in partnership with staff and students to build a stronger sense of belonging, increase student success and retention, and provide greater avenues for meaningful student participation within the university community.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Efficient and effective delivery of evidence-based targeted co-curricular and extracurricular programs in the areas of transition, mentoring, student life and employability initiatives throughout the student lifecycle with a focus on equity groups to prepare students for success.Providing project management, research, operational and administrative support to a suite of orientation, transition, communications, student life, leadership support, mentoring and careers programs targeted to the needs of equity groups.Making decisions in relation to work activities within their key accountabilities including the successful delivery of engagement activities and programs that enhance the student experience, improves student retention, wellbeing, progression, and graduate outcomes in consultation with the Manager, Student Affairs and Engagement.Collate comprehensive semesterly reporting to demonstrate quantitative and qualitative program impact and results.About you Experience in a relevant field and designing and delivering at scale programs and projects.Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with senior members of staff, students and organisations, building successful relationships in a client services environment.Well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement.Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, with a capacity to prepare high level correspondence, reports and staff communications in an accurate, effective, and sensitive manner.Demonstrated ability to develop, review and implement policies, procedures and systems, including interpreting complex regulations affecting undergraduate and postgraduate student candidature to manage a wide range of enquiries from students and staff.Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering high profile projects, including large scale programs and activities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.Excellent organisational and planning skills, with demonstrated experience in managing processes and systems and be adaptive and responsive in a fast-paced organisation meeting agreed outcomes.We strongly encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
