Program Coordinator- Community InclusionWe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Program Coordinator that will play a key role in fostering community engagement and inclusion for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and First Nations youth with psychosocial disabilities.
Reporting to the chief operating officer, this is a full-time position based in Townsville, with travel between selectability sites required.
This role has a strong focus on consultation with co-design of resources that enhance social participation and well-being of the youths in the community.
This is a varied role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, local agencies and government bodiesconducting consultations with CALD and First Nations communities to gather input and ensure their involvement in the program and resource developmentorganising and facilitating community meetings, workshops, and focus groups to understand the challenges and needs of youth participantsgather feedback from consultations to adjust and refine programs to align with community needsdeveloping and implementing a framework for monitoring and evaluating the impact of programsmonitoring and reporting on the programs KPI'sensuring compliance with relevant industry standardsrepresenting selectability at local and regional network meetings, forums and eventsproactively lead and manage a teamAbout youTo be successful you must:
experience leading teams, programs and services in mental health, disability or community services (desirable)experience in the mental health industry (desirable)experience working in youth support or programsstrong computer skills with the ability to complete required reportingexperience working in a team environmentproficient in Microsoft office suites of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams and other databasesa positive attitude and is committed to best practicebe able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individualsYou will also need:
a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licencea currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive vehiclea Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'occasional out of hours work may be required from time to timetravel to selectability sites is required from time to timeAbout the offer & BenefitsWe offer a range of benefits including:
