Join us for an exciting career opportunity as a Temporary Program Change Lead to provide a high level of change management support to QBuild.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.
It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
Duties and skills involved: Responsible for leading the efforts of the Program to ensure a successful change initiative including embedding any required revisions to working practices with minimal negative impacts on service delivery. Lead the strategy and planning of an effective change management program including effective persona capture, change strategies and plans, communications, and training outcomes. Provide leadership on and oversee the effective engagement of key stakeholders including the QBuild Senior Leadership team and staff across impacted business units, on behalf of the Program, to ensure the achievement of the benefits associated with the implementation of new solutions. Act as the strategic engagement and communication conduit between the affected business units and the Program team. Oversee change management activities (including communications and engagement) across multiple projects to ensure linkages and interdependencies between initiatives and projects, to align with the overall delivery schedule of the Program. Ensure that change management related risks and issues regarding the adoption of new business processes and systems are promptly identified and effectively managed through the agreed risk management strategies and initiatives. Provide leadership to staff by fostering personal qualities including enthusiasm, professionalism, commitment, accountability and demonstrated ethical behaviour. Foster an equitable and fair workplace ethos through the implementation of management standards and policies, for example, performance planning and review, recruitment and selection, training and development, workplace health and safety, employment equity. Preferred skills and experience: Extensive experience in developing and implementing change strategies within large-scale programs, with strong planning and leadership capabilities. Proficient in Agile Project Management methodology, with exceptional facilitation skills to guide teams and projects effectively. Strong time management and collaborative problem-solving skills, ensuring efficient project execution and teamwork. A deep understanding of servant leadership, adept at shielding teams from distractions and fostering a focused, supportive work environment. All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
