Joining the CRC means becoming part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to making a tangible, positive impact on both the agricultural and environmental landscape of Australia.The Role:The Program and Contracts Officer is a critical role, blending research contract management with project and program support to ensure the effective delivery of CRC-funded projects. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will manage contract negotiations, oversee IP management, and monitor program progress, maintaining alignment between project execution and the CRC's strategic objectives. This role is perfect for a professional who can combine contract administration with program-level insights to drive meaningful results across a diverse research portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Research Contracts Administration:Manage contract negotiation, drafting, and execution, working with Program Leaders and the Research Director to ensure alignment with CRC policies.Serve as a key resource for contract guidance, governance, and compliance, supporting consistent program delivery across project teams.Portfolio Management:Oversee the CRC's project portfolio, conducting regular progress reviews with the COO and Research Director to assess alignment with impact goals.Manage the IP Register in coordination with legal advisers to protect and leverage CRC's intellectual property.Documentation, Compliance, and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive records for all contracts and project documentation, ensuring compliance with laws and CRC policies.Streamline contract management and reporting processes, delivering regular updates on project health and risks to stakeholders.Training and Capacity Building:Provide training and mentorship to CRC staff and partners on contract management and best practices.Enhance project teams' understanding of contract terms, IP, and program requirements.Key skills and experience to be considered:Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, project management, or a related field3-5+ years of experience in research contract management and portfolio or program managementStrong understanding of contract administration and program management best practices.Experience with CRC-funded projects or similar collaborative research initiatives is highly desirable.Experience working with producers and agricultural industries is an advantage.Location:While Head Office is based in Brisbane, this opportunity offers flexibility in job location across Australia.
