Why this role matters The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs.
About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Program Administrator to carry out administrative tasks for the Northern Victoria AOD Services programs. Reporting to the Residential Services Site Administrator, this is a permanent, part-time (6.08 hours per day for 5 days, Mon-Fri) position based in Bendigo, Victoria. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 3. Please note that this role requires intermittent travel across rural Victorian sites.
You will successfully Provide phone and on-site reception for Residential and Non-Residential programs. Lead management of account payments and reconciliation for client and general payments for Residential and Non-Residential Programs. Support coordination of administrative functions across regional services to support staff and management to meet quality requirements, including supporting accreditation. You will have Relevant Business qualification such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration (desired). A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check. A valid Victorian Driver Licence. Demonstrated experience in reception/administration tasks and responsibilities. A high level of interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. High attention to detail with proven ability to maintain confidentiality of service users and professionally handle sensitive data and information. A high level of time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to clarify roles and responsibilities of self and team members whilst monitoring task completion to ensure objectives and priorities are met. Well-developed knowledge of administration specific skills, e.g., Word, Excel, IT, finance management, security management and utilise technology and software applications effectively in accordance with task requirements. Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to performing duties in a safe manner to ensure safety of self and others.
