About the Role Offered on a fixed-term full-time basis until 31 July 2026, the VCAT Program Accountant resides in the VCAT Finance team and plays a key role in the financial management of VCAT's Service Transformation Program (STP) including program stakeholder engagement for financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, as well as financial reporting and analysis for the Service Transformation Program (STP).
This role will also assist the VCAT Finance team with finance tasks related to VCAT's operations and manage a number of important projects.
Key accountabilities include: Providing financial management and oversight of the Transformation Project Management Office (TPMO) for the VCAT digital and operational service transformation program Leading the development, validation and monitoring of project budgets and forecasts Using specialist knowledge to ensure accurate capture and reporting of complex project accounts including alignment with TPMO contracts and preparation of monthly journals Utilising VCAT's current reporting systems and chart of accounts to provide required project reporting and analysis at an advanced professional level Initiating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the CSV Finance Team, TPMO office, TPMO contract manager, TPMO Project Leads About You Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel Experienced with budgets, forecasting and analysis in a fast-paced environment undergoing significant change Experience and capability in engaging stakeholders Previous experience in a PMO and/or a transforming operational environment would be desirable How to apply Click the 'Apply Now' button, ensuring you include the following in your application:
