The Faculty operational budget is of the order of $100m annually, excluding business activities and research funds (which total around $80m annually).The UNSW Data Science Hub is being established as a major strategic initiative of the Faculty of Science to cultivate and promote foundational and applied research in Data Science with an applied focus in Environmental Data Science, Physical Data Science, and Health Data Science. It is envisaged that the Hub will provide a world-class environment, with access to state-of-the-art data visualization and computing facilities, for creating, developing, and deploying transformative data-driven decision-making tools to address future societal challenges.
