As a Professional Services Consultant, you will: Carry out Professional Services engagements in a professional & timely manner for Fortinet customers & deliver projects with customer satisfaction in mind.Develop a clear overall understanding of the customer requirements (project scope, technical requirements, and solution design).When onsite at the customer, conduct oneself in a professional manner, mindful of being a representative of Fortinet.Assist in the deployment, configuration, cutover, testing, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions in customer environments.Execute customer and Fortinet taskings autonomously, demonstrating the ability to deliver work independently whilst adhering to project timelines and quality standards.Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Provide technical mentoring, training, and coaching to other members of Fortinet and customer technical staff to obtain necessary skills to evolve in the PS organization.Continuously develop knowledge and skills to remain proficient with Fortinet technologies to provide best practice advice during project delivery.Maintain expert-level technical knowledge in the following technology disciplines as they relate to Fortinet's products:Network Security Infrastructure – Switching, Routing, SD-WAN, ProxiesFirewalls, UTM, APT (Sandboxing), Application Control & Content Filtering, Web Proxying, SLB, CryptologyVPN technologies (SSL VPN/IPSEC VPN) & associated topologiesWeb Application FirewallingCentralized Logging and Reporting solutionsWrite & present whitepapers, technical notes, and other high-level technical documentation as required.Interface with Fortinet's Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge internally to SE's, CSE's, and TAC Engineers.Effectively communicate relevant project information to Fortinet management as appropriate.Utilize communication and conflict resolution skills to independently address and resolve interpersonal conflicts and issues.Adapt to changes in workload, demonstrating resilience and flexibility to effectively manage shifting priorities and deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of performance and productivity.Effectively analyze technical issues, implement troubleshooting methodologies, identify root causes, and apply remediation where possible.Receive, comprehend, and follow direction from supervisors, team leads, management, and customer line management.Consistently maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in the execution of assigned job responsibilities.Leverage strategic and critical thinking, create and implement solutions to overcome technical challenges.Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.Complete and submit any required administrative tasks in a timely manner (timesheets, activities report, project reports, etc.).Follow up with customer and internal Fortinet departments to ensure project documentation is completed:Creation of Statement of Work documentAcknowledgement of work performed including work complete signingKnowledge TransferCustomer satisfaction surveysWe Are Looking For:An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:8 - 10 years + relevant experience preferably in a network security vendor.5+ Years' experience in LAN/WAN /Internet Support or Administration.3+ Years' experience with Network Security Products.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong knowledge of the security threat landscape.Administrator level working knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux.Previous Technical support position (other PS or TAC position), or Sales Engineering background advantageous.Network security certifications (Fortinet NSE4 minimum level and above).External network security & vendor certifications such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, AWS area plus.Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPv4, IPV6 & Networking skills).Strong general knowledge of common networking (switching & routing) and security protocols.Scripting experience (PERL, Javascript, PHP etc) & experience of API (Restful API).Ability to work according to customer's schedules which may include weekends/evenings.Team player and ability to work remotely & interact with remote teams & employees.MS office suite using applications such as Power Point, Word, Visio & Project.Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused on the tasks in hand.Ability to troubleshoot complex network & security environment.Bachelors Degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.Network Security Certifications.Project Management Certifications.Why Join Us:At Fortinet, we embrace diversity and inclusivity.
