Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre - Biomedical EngineeringSalary: $67,466 - $82,359 p.a.(pro rata) PO1 / $74,128 - $78,700 p.a.(pro rata) TGO2 Multiple Vacancies available, varying hours per week and contract duration.One Permanent, part-time vacancy 26.25 hours per weekTwo Full-time term-vacancies, 37.5 hours per week for up to two years An exciting opportunity exists within the Biomedical Engineering team for a Professional Officer/Technician to join us on an ongoing basis, working in a part-time capacity!The primary objective of biomedical engineering is to assure the safety, effectiveness, availability and compliance of biomedical technology used directly for patient diagnosis, treatment or monitoring for/in connection with the public hospital and healthcare facilities of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN).About the Role:We are recruiting to up to three vacancies.There is potential for a successful applicant to be appointed permanently, and work additional hours to full-time for the first two years of their contract.In these roles, you will provide preventative and remedial maintenance of biomedical devices and systems under the guidance of more experienced professional and technical officers.You may exercise professional judgement to provide services across a range of technologies, and apply procedures, methods and discipline standards within prescribed areas as directed, to support the unit's operations.Please note: These positions are multi-classed as either TGO2 or PO1 and classification will be determined by qualifications/experience.About you: PO1 - To be successfully appointed as a Professional Officer (PO), you must hold a degree level qualification in Biomedical Engineering or similar field.TGO2 - To be successfully appointed as a Technician, you must hold an Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.Experience in the delivery of remedial and preventative technical equipment maintenance services.Experience in providing competent technical analysis and support to resolve operational issues for medical equipment and systems within an environment in which client and staff safety is paramount.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills across a multi-disciplinary environment including the capacity to undertake effective liaison with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.Please see the attached Role Descriptions for additional information.Want To Know More?Contact: Noel Kitto, Technical Manager, (08) 8204 4052, Application Closing Date: 11.55 pm Sunday 23rd June 2024Attachments: Applicant Information: In addition to the annual salary and entitlements (superannuation & leave loading), we also offer salary sacrifice benefits.Watch a short about what salary packaging is.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and Immunisation compliance as indicated on the Role description.SA Health Services are required to implement the in the workplace.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.Job ref: 869168
