About the Role The Professional Experience Officer plays a pivotal role in the administration and coordination of professional experience placements within the Faculty of Education.
Collaborate with academic and professional colleagues, as well as a network of partner organisations to facilitate student placements across diverse educational settings.
Manage the placement matching processes, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure the smooth delivery of student services and academic activities related to placements.
With a focus on maintaining and refining systems, policies, and procedures, you will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of placement operations, while providing exceptional service to students and partner organisations.
Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating placement processes in collaboration with Professional Experience Officers, Course Coordinators, and Clinical Practice Coordinators, while ensuring effective communication and partnerships with external organisations.
Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of university and Faculty of Education policies, procedures, and placement requirements, contributing to the ongoing review and improvement of these frameworks.
Managing the resolution of issues arising from students, partner organisations, and academic colleagues, escalating more complex concerns as needed and providing prompt solutions.
Supporting the ongoing improvement of placement systems, and contributing to the development of innovative strategies to enhance the student and partner experience.
Who We Are Looking For You are a proactive and organised individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, academic staff, and external partner organisations.
With a solution focused mindset, you excel in managing multiple priorities simultaneously, demonstrating flexibility and initiative in adapting to changing circumstances.
Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, ensures that you can engage with various audiences with professionalism and clarity.
Above all, you bring a positive, team-oriented approach, working seamlessly within a collaborative environment to achieve shared goals and deliver outstanding service to all stakeholders.
You also have: A degree in a relevant field, or extensive professional experience in a related area, with a strong understanding of placement operations and student services.
Proven ability to manage complex logistical tasks, including resource matching, scheduling, and adhering to time-sensitive deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in reviewing and improving processes to enhance efficiency, particularly through the use of online systems and data-driven decision-making.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in using online systems for process improvement, as well as the ability to generate and interpret reports to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
