Armed with our strong domain expertise on traditional underwriting and empowered with sourcing the best talent and partnerships across the insurance, technology and innovation sectors for the perfect marriage to "Ignite the digital opportunity across the legacy insurance market".Our scale-up business is rapidly growing and we are looking for a Sydney based Production Underwriter to join our dynamic team.The Production Underwriter (NSW) will provide underwriting, service, advice, and guidance to the broker client portfolio in New South Wales with a view to positioning Argyle Insurance as the underwriter of choice and the new way of broking in Australia.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Profitably underwrite commercial business according to company guidelines.Build and maintain strong relationships with the broker network within New South Wales.Initiate and develop utilisation of the Argyle Insurance quoting platform.Create and deliver insurance growth and retention strategies for the client portfolio.Provide a high level of service and advice to brokers relating to risk and insurance requirements for their clients.Coordinate training programs for brokers that deliver high utilisation of the quoting platform.Professionally and efficiently manage all renewals, remarketing, new business enquiries and all other broking duties on your portfolio.Person Specification:QualificationsAt least 5 years commercial experience in insurance, coupled with relevant qualifications.Demonstrated knowledge of underwriting practices and policies.Tier 1 & 2 Compliant - Certified Insurance Professional.A strong working history within Insurance.Australian Permanent Residency.Completed Bachelor's degree in any field preferable.CapabilitiesProven experience in underwriting and business development.The ability to advise broker client group on risk and gap analysis, creating organic growth across all Insurance lines.Ability to collect, analyse and present information back to senior stakeholders, both internally & externally.Claims handling experience or familiarity of the claims process from a client, broker and insurer perspective.Proven ability to guide and influence executive decision making.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.Personal AttributesHas strong interpersonal skills.Decisive, goal-oriented and thrives on achieving results.Values driven with high integrity.Passionate about service and making a difference to others.Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.Has high attention to detail, and is self-directed, with excellent time management.Is flexible and resilient in responding to multiple changing priorities and complexity.Has strong values and demonstrates personal leadership and a commitment to working as part of a close-knit, accountable team.Apply now to embark on an exciting journey with endless opportunities for growth and development.
