Discover the Opportunity…. We have an exciting opportunity available at our Opal Fibre Australia Rota Die site in Heidelberg, as we are currently looking for an experienced Die Setter/ Die Maker to join the day shift team!
We are a manufacturer of dies for the corrugated industry for flexo-folder gluers, rotary die-cutters, and flatbed die-cutters.
You will be responsible for the production of dies for our corrugated fibre site converting machines. This includes the efficient setup and operation of die-cutting equipment to meet quality and production standards.
The responsibilities for this role will include:
Efficient set up and changeover of dies on die-cutting equipment to meet production requirementsEnsure proper alignment, tension, and set up of dies for accurate and precise cuttingComplete basic calibration of Easy Benders (Nozzles Guide, Length, Radii)Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to die setup and machine calibrationConduct quality checks on die-cut samples to verify conformance to specificationsMake necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards and minimise wasteWe are able to offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. Specifically, for this role, we would ideally like you to have:
A good working knowledge of Benders/Cutters both mechanically and software (preferred but not essential)Technical training or certification in die setting or a related field (preferred but not essential)Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairsFamiliarity with die-cutting equipment and related tools.Attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate and high-quality production.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Location: Heidelberg, Victoria, Australia
